Challenges
XL Axiata has a number of services that they offer. Such as Prepaid, Postpaid, XL Home (FFTH & WTTH) & XL Go.
Their Previous version of the myXL app only available for the prepaid customers meanwhile the Postpaid users are using a different app called myPrio. XL wants to consolidate all users in one app this enables user to be able to user multiple XL services without having the hassle of installing multiple apps. Each of the different product has its own distinct brand colors that we need to take into consideration when designing this app.
Opportunities
This revamped version of the app allows more features to be added to compliments the overall app experience. Such as the all-in-one nature of this app allows a multi-account where users can easily change to whatever account they need to see.
This also creates opportunity for XL to cross-sell more of their products within the app by utilzing the new feature XL Store & XL Care to provide direct customer support within the app.
Process
Starting from user interview & surveys, we aim to understand the user’s pain points and behaviour when using the previous version of the app. From the findings that we gather from this step we move forward with design workshop with the client to create a rough idea of what the Information Architecture and Features that may be required for the app.

This Utilitarian concept is about giving users the ability to decide and take action quickly based on a more conventional experience.
Concept B
The Assistant concept is about serving our user’s based on insights and nudge them into taking the right action, providing a personalised experience.
From this concept then we do several Usability Tests & A/B Testing to iterate the concept
